Händel's Human Faces - Arias from Passion to Calmness
8 May 2026. 7:00 pm
Budapest Music Center - Library
1093 Budapest, Mátyás utca 8.
All the pieces in the concert were composed by George Frideric Händel - a composer who, in the world of Baroque music, portrayed the waves of the human soul with unparalleled sensitivity. Händel's art is dramatic and intimate, monumental and personal at the same time. His arias are not just musical forms: they are independent little dramas in which human destinies, hopes, pains and pleasures are condensed into a single moment.
At the heart of the concert is the tension that depicts the fragility of human existence through Händel's heroes: loss, entreaty, inner struggle. In this way, this concert takes us into Händel's human world: moments of suffering, longing, hope and joy. Together, the pieces form one great story - the story of the soul.
