He studied percussion playing, composition, singing and choir conducting. He graduated from Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music in Budapest in 1984. He is a tenor soloist of the Tomkins Vocal Ensemble of Budapest. He joined teh Schola Cantorum Budapestiensis in 1986, as singing teacher and choirmaster.

He has been awarded with the Merited Artist Prize in 2017 and the Distinguished Artist of Hungary prize in 2025.
