Lamm Dávid

Dávid Lamm was born on 2nd March 1978 in Budapest. He started his musical studies in 1993. Later he became a student of Gyula Babos in the Kőbánya Zenei Stúdió. In 1999 he was admitted to the Ferenc Liszt Academy Of Music, where he graduated in 2004.
During his Academy years he was a recent participant of the hungarian musical scene. Besides numerous theatre projects (Új Sanzonok 2001, Bárka Színház; Györgyike drága gyermek 2003-2004, Nemzeti Színház; Czíllei és a Hunyadiak 2004, Nemzeti Színház; Purimspiel 2004, Bangkoki Punkok 2005, Merlin Színház) he is a member of several musical productions.
As guitarist of many combos, he has tried himself in different musical genres. Between 2001 and 2002 he played blues in Tamás Szabó's Spo-Dee-O-Dee, with Koala he plays authentic reggae music, with the Linda Kovács Quartet they perform contemporary jazz, in HaGesher he dedicates himself to ethno-jazz, in Sandant he plays and sings trip-hop.
He has played and arranged Ágnes Szalóki's Téli-Nyári Laboda (2004) and Lament (2005), the latter together with József Balázs, András Dés, József Barcza-Horváth and Kristóf Bacsó. He is also featured on Caramel's latest record, as guitarist and arranger.
He formed his own band, The Dávid Lamm Quartet in April, 2004, with fellow musicians Gábor Weisz, Ernő Hock and András Mohay, they plays his original compositions.
In January 2006, he joined to Elemér Balázs Group.
