He graduated from Ferenc Liszt Academy of Music in Budapest in 1984. He had post-gradual studies with András Adorján. He had many awards at international competitions, like in Ancona, Leipzig, Markneurkirchen, etc. He was solo flutist of the Hungarian Radio Symphony Orchestra between 1981 and 1991. He has been the solo flutist of the Hungarian National Pilharmonic Orchestra since 2000. Mr.Bálint is a professor of the Szeged University and Accademia Flautistica of Imola (Italy), and also founded the Hungarian Auer Summer Academy in Veszprém. He is also the founder and president of Doppler Flute Association at Budapest. As a soloist he has performed in almost all European countries and also in the USA, Japan, Taiwan and Israel. He has made many CD-s with Hungaroton, Capriccio and Naxos, and gives 10-12 masterclasses regularly every year all over the world.
