Melinda Felletár studied composition and harp at the Szeged Secondary School of Music under Richárd Weninger and Lajos Huszár. In 1978 she continued her studies at the Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory in the class of Vera Dulova. Between 1984 and 1998 she was harpist with the Szeged Philharmonic Orchestra and the Szeged National Theatre Orchestra.
Since 1998 she has been a member of the Matáv Symphony Orchestra. She has been teaching at the Szeged Music College since 1990. She has given numerous solo, chamber and orchestral concerts in Hungary and abroad with internationally renowned musicians such as János Starker, Tibor Varga, Miklós Perényi and others. She received her DLA degree from the Academy of Music in 2011. In 2016, she was awarded the title of Honorary University Doncente at the University of Szeged.
