Budapesti Monteverdi Kórus

The Budapest Monteverdi Choir was founded by Mrs. Éva Kollár in 1972. During its 28 years of existence, the choir has been successful at music festivals and choir competitions all over Europe (Austria, Belgium, England, France, Germany, Holland, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Switzerland, Ukraine), and was awarded 1st prize in Spittal/Drau (Austria), the Grand Prix in Arezzo (Italy), and Sligi (Ireland). The repertoire of the Monteverdi Choir consist of a capella music of the European Renaissance, Baroque, Classical and Romantic composers. Performances of the choir are available on several CD's, LP's and in the form of radio and television recording.
In 2011 the Choir received the Csokonai Vitéz Mihály Award.
