Zoltán Vince Laczó was born on the 25th of October 1964 in Győr, Hungary.

He graduated from Jazz Faculty of Liszt Academy as a jazz artist. His main teachers were János Gonda, Balázs Berkes, Károly Friedrich. He received his wind orchestra conductor qualification in 1999. Under the guidance of László Marosi he was taken part in the master classes of Bob Gifford, Ronald Johnson and Jan Magnus-Dahle. He studied as a private student composing from István Bogár.

Between 1984 and 1988 he was a member of several bands, eg. the Rock Theatre Band, and other jazz and rock bands. Between 1991 and 1994 he worked as a theatre musician in Germany (intermittently). From 1994 to 1997 he was a composer of nature and instructional films and series and until 2011 he was the regular orchestrator of Four Fathers Quartet. From 1997 to 2004 he worked as a music teacher of Lisznyai Szabó Gábor music school. He has been the music editor and director of the Hungarian Catholic Radio since 2004.

His works have been performed both Hungarian and foreign orchestras on regular basis since 1995. He has composed theatre incidental music and plays since 1998. His first CD was published in 2014 by Hungarian Culture Publisher.

He is a member of Hungarian Composer's Union, Hungarian Jazz Federation and Artisjus.
