Born in Budapest from a Hungarian and Russian parents, she studied piano and composition at Bartók Béla Conservatory, graduated in Composition (MA) at the Ferenc Liszt Music Academy, Budapest (2004). In 1999 she moved to France, studied at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Lyon and later in Paris, graduated also as a piano accompanist-coach in 2003. MA holder in Musicology and Aesthetics of the Université Paris-VIII Saint-Denis (2006, MA Thesis) on Peter Eötvös’s opera: Angels in America. She became a DMA in Composition of the Ferenc Liszt Music Academy (DMA Thesis: Dramaturgy of Eötvös’s opera: Love and Other Demons).

She received various prizes and scholarships: the UNESCO-Aschberg Fellowship for electroacoustic composition, State Fellowships of France and of Hungary, Fondation Natexis Banques Populaires Composer's Fellowship, Eötvös State Fellowship and Kodály Creative Art Fellowships, 1st prize and 3rd prize of István Vántus Composers Contest, 2nd prize of Zoltán Kodály Composers Competition, IRCAM composer's course. She was a fellow of Akademie Schloss Solitude (2006-07), invited artist of Künstlerhaus Ahrenshoop (2008) and Aldeburgh Composer Residencies (2009).

Her music have been commissioned and performed widely by ensembles and insitutions as the Théâtre du Châtelet, Centre Acanthes, Radio France, SWR, Finnish Radio, Fondation Royaumont, Orchestre National de Lorraine, Hungarian Radio Symphony Orchestra, Ensemble Intercontemporain, Ensemble SIC, Componensemble, Ensemble Musiques Nouvelles, Ensemble Intermoduláció, Trio Clarino, Peter Eötvös. Her music is played in Europe and abroad, is recorded by the Hungarian Radio and HUNGAROTON, edited by Editio Musica Budapest (EMB) and Kontrapunkt. Between 2009-2012 Krisztina was a lecturer at the Faculty of Music of University of Pécs (PTE), from 2013 she is a teacher of Kodály Zoltán International Institute of Music Kecskemét and Pászti Miklós Music School Biatorbágy.
